Schools’ Year 10 Residential Weekend
Over the course of two days each student will have the chance to participate
in six two hour workshops on a range of subjects, including Brechtian techniques,
stage combat, storytelling, design, physical theatre and more, culminating in
a shared performance from every group on the Sunday morning.
All our tutors work professionally in the theatre and are therefore able to
offer the students skills that they will be able to take back into the classroom
and make use of in their GCSE’s. The workshops not only encourage the
students to develop new skills but enable them to transfer these into performance
pieces.
The weekend is also an opportunity to share their ideas with students from other
schools. In our experience class work and exam pieces are enlivened and enhanced
by the expertise gained on the year 10 residential weekend.

We are currently planning a tour for 2008.

Work Experience
Off the ground are able to offer a limited number of work experience placements
throughout the year.
