Andrew
Byron (Actor/YT Tutor)
In the time Andy has worked for OTG since leaving university, he has experienced
many of the normal things a history graduate would expect to do such as herding
emus, playing fourteen different roles in the company’s production of
A Caucasian Chalk Circle, each with a more ridiculous accent than the last,
and working the sound for an outdoor show while sitting in a rain puddle.
As well as acting Andy also tutors with OTG’s Youth Theatre where he directed
Animal Farm, forcing the cast to get in touch with their inner pig. He has also
dipped into the world of writing, conjuring up a surreal whiskey and lemsip
induced Rolf Harris scene for OTG’s Christmas panto, Aladdin. Other work
for OTG ranges from literacy projects to stage combat workshops for local councils,
schools, the Chester Gateway Theatre and Clwyd Theatr Cymru.
