Daniel G. Cambridge is a man with a middle initial, and he’s not afraid
to use it. Daniel trained as an actor at Bretton Hall, graduating with a degree
in Dramatic Arts in 1997.
His dreams of achieving immediate fame as the actor of his generation fell by
the wayside as the more pressing demands of paying the bills and earning a crust
imposed themselves on his life. And so it was that Daniel came to Off The Ground,
a fresh-faced and excitable young man with boundless energy – not the
jaded old hack with a limited capacity for fun that he is today. Over the past
few years Daniel has been a tutor and director at the Youth Theatre and has
written four plays for the company – Swinging Cinderella and her Fairly
Godmother, Monkey and Aladdin, for the Youth Theatre, and Treasure Island for
the summer tour of 2004. He has appeared in six plays for the company –
MacBeth, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Swing in the Willows, Who Do You Think
You Are?, The Caucasian Chalk Circle and Twelfth Night.
He also directed Lost and Found in 2004. Daniel’s TV appearances include
Tezza (a thug) in Brookside (C4), Phil Welbeck (a rapist) in Merseybeat (BBC),
and Det. Serg. Jones in Trail of Guilt: Mabel Leyshon(BBC). Daniel started his
own company, Dangerous Communications, in 2000, which designs and delivers a
wide range of courses and corporate training.
Daniel still gets asked what he wants to do for a living.
