DESCRIPTION
Off the Ground Theatre are thrilled to finally be able to bring live theatre to audiences again. It’s been a tricky 16 months or so for all theatres across the UK, with many having struggled beyond reckoning. As things ease up, OTG couldn’t be more pleased to finally be taking another production on our much-loved summer tour of the north west. A combination of Covid and Brexit means that our usual Irish leg is out of the question for this summer at least, but that hasn’t dampened any spirits as we come roaring toward our opening night of The Adventures of Robin Hood.
Robin and his Merry Band face off against that most famous of old foes, the Sheriff of Nottingham. In this tale, however, the dastardly Sheriff has teamed up with the fearsome Princess of Aragon, who has arrived in England with designs on the Kingdom itself. Whilst the Sheriff pursues his relentless vendetta against the outlaw Robin Hood, Robin must get to London in time to save his beloved Maid Marian. Can he evade the Sheriff? Will he learn of the Princess’ plans and stop her before it is too late?
Of course he will! But that shouldn’t stop anybody from coming down to their local venue and enjoying the family-friendly adventure story, full of laughs and epic fights, just as an OTG show should be.
Written for OTG by Connor Wray.
Cast - Nick Crosbie, Billy Czajkowska, Pete Darwent, Grace Goulding, Chloe Hughes, Kathryn McGurk, Mat Oliphant, Phil Rayner.
Choreography by Grace Goulding and Dan Meigh.

What to wear to open air theatre?
The best way to know what to wear to an open air theatre performance is to check on what the weather is doing, but always play it safe. If you can carry a coat in case things turn sour, then we’d always recommend doing so. Beyond that, wear anything you like to an open air theatre performance, though please ensure you wear something!
