SHOW TITLE
The Dracula Spectacula
YEAR
2001
PERFORMED
Birkenhead Priory & Ness Gardens, Wirral
DESCRIPTION
The Foot and Mouth crisis forced us to cancel our summer tour for the first time in seven years. However, the little zombies of the Off the Ground Youth Theatre arose from the graves of their elders and, banishing all thoughts of garlic or wooden stakes, performed the electrifying Dracula Spectacula.
Most feared of all vampires, Dracula, is on the loose again, and this time he is trying to seduce the sweet but vulnerable (not to mention slightly stupid) American school teacher, Miss Nadia Naïve. However, Dracula doesn’t get everything his own way as Miss Naïve is protected by the handsome English doctor Nick Rophiliac, and his Irish friend, Father O’Stake.
“Flight 666 for Europe is now ready for take-off. The flight stops at Paris, Heidelberg and Karloffia, Transylvania. Bon voyage. Goodbye, Auf wiedersehen. Don’t say we didn’t warn you.”

What to wear to open air theatre?
The best way to know what to wear to an open air theatre performance is to check on what the weather is doing, but always play it safe. If you can carry a coat in case things turn sour, then we’d always recommend doing so. Beyond that, wear anything you like to an open air theatre performance, though please ensure you wear something!
