DESCRIPTION

The story of the Trojan War is one of the most well known pieces of mythical history and has been the topic of hundreds of pieces of drama. This adaptation takes a more contemporary look at the war and the implications that ten years of siege have on the city.

'We are the eyes of the city,
The ears of the city,
Heart of the city,
Fists of the city!'

On the walls of the besieged city of Troy, near the Sceaen gate, are the Youths on the rampart. Troy's self declared defence league. The children left behind in the city after the adult population deserted them to play their part in the 10 year war. This is a play about war, politics, camaraderie and betrayal.

Directed by Abbie Rippon.

Do you have questions regarding Off the Ground theatre productions?

What to wear to open air theatre?

The best way to know what to wear to an open air theatre performance is to check on what the weather is doing, but always play it safe. If you can carry a coat in case things turn sour, then we’d always recommend doing so. Beyond that, wear anything you like to an open air theatre performance, though please ensure you wear something!
